Description
We are proud to offer some of the finest fly-tying feathers in the world — Coq de León Pardo from Spain.
In the León region of Spain, two main bloodlines of roosters exist: Indio and Pardo. Feathers from both families are prized for their exceptional brilliance on the front of the feather, which is also preserved on the reverse side. The natural speckling runs through the entire feather and is clearly visible from both sides. One of the unique characteristics of Coq de León is that the fibers are extremely fine yet perfectly straight and elastic.
These feathers are renowned for their extraordinary color, translucency, and shine, making them unmatched for realistic and durable fly patterns.
-
Rihnon feathers come from the kidney area of the rooster and are considered the highest quality zone.
-
They are slightly shorter than neck or saddle feathers, but the fibers are very uniform in length.
-
Rihnon feathers have a rounded tip, while only colgaderas feathers are narrow.
-
Used not only for tails, but also for wings and hackle in traditional Spanish-style flies.
-
Widely regarded as the most beautiful feathers on a rooster.
- 6 feathers per pack.
