Foam Buggy Caddis – you heard that right!
Floating like a cork, Foam Buggy Caddis is one of our absolute favorite caddis patterns.
The silhouette this fly creates in the surface film is something trout and grayling often find hard to resist.
Just like Fliesbyaspeen's other patterns, it's wonderfully buggy – something both we and the fish truly appreciate!
We like using the Detached Body Tool to create the extended body, and when paired with the Firehole 413, the result is an incredibly effective fly.
Foam Buggy Caddis performs equally well in both stillwaters and flowing rivers.
Thanks to its foam body, it offers outstanding buoyancy and continues to ride high in the surface film, even after repeated casts.
